Scoring a round

The total net points in Tichu without any bets are 100, which are divided between the two teams. The scoring cards are as follows:

Fives: 5 points each (20 points in total)
Tens: 10 points each (40 points in total)
Kings (K): 10 points each (40 points in total)
Dragon: 25 points
Phoenix: -25 points

If, however, the two players on one team achieve a double victory (being both first and second to run out of cards), the round ends immediately, the counting is skipped, and this team scores 200 points with the other one getting 0 points.

Tichu & Grand Tichu

  • Tichu: +100 points in case the player who declares it goes out first, -100 points if he/she does not
  • Grand Tichu: +200 points in case the player who declares it goes out first, -200 points if he/she does not

Note: The bets above are still adding or deducting Points if two players on the same team achieve a double victory. For example, if a player declares Grand Tichu and that player's team goes out before any of the opponent players do so, but with the player who declared Grand Tichu finishing his/her hand second, the score will be 0-0 (200-0 for the double victory, but also -200 points for the first team due to a failed Grand Tichu bet).
